Stocking Your Pantry

Stocking your pantry with staples is essential to whipping up easy, successful meals. Keep a running list of essentials you use frequently and add it to the grocery list when you get low. Space can be an issue for some people. Find a way to create pantry space if you don’t have any. Here are ideas. If something doesn’t work for your dietary needs, please omit it. This list is inclusive of all kinds of recipe styles.

Baking

  • All purpose flour
  • Bread flour
  • Wheat Flour
  • Cornmeal
  • Sugar (plain, powdered, and raw turbinado sugar)
  • Brown Sugar
  • Honey
  • Salt(s) (plain, kosher, himalayan, gray, Hawaiian)
  • Baking Powder
  • Baking Soda
  • Instant Dry Milk
  • Buttermilk Powder
  • Molasses
  • Vanilla extract
  • Other extracts, as needed.
